Capturing the essence of somebody’s being when doing a portrait is like hitting the sweet spot.  In this recent portrait drawing of father and daughter, I think I hit that sweet spot.  It really shows her innocent energy and playfulness, and his love for his little princess.  What she’s doing is slapping a sticker of Dora the Explorer on his forehead, just in case you’re wondering!
